CNC Single and Dual Spindle Vertical Lathes

The Vanguard VTC series vertical lathes are specifically designed to machine short to medium height workpieces in high productivity environments while maintaining exacting tolerances. They can meet the demands of machining medium-sized disc parts for the automotive industry, efficiently and with precision. With a single setup, these lathes can complete all the turning processes for machining various disc or sleeve parts with multiple steps and inner holes, such as automobile brake plates, brake hubs, flywheels, gears, flanges, etc. The symmetrical headstock and the heavily ribbed cast iron base are designed to eliminate thermal deformation and deflection during heavy cutting operations. The box ways are hardened and ground, and have anti-friction coatings on the mated surfaces to greatly reduce friction and provide superior damping properties for enhanced accuracy and extended machine life. The heavy duty spindle features NSK double row cylindrical roller bearings and duplex angular contact bearings for exceptional stiffness and accuracy. All machines feature powerful spindle motors with 2-speed ZF gear boxes for high torque during heavy cuts. With powerful motors and robust construction features, these machines are optimized to accommodate either manned or unmanned automated operations in high production environments.
