Manual Engine Lathes

The Vanguard CA series of engine lathes are suitable for a wide range of turning applications. These lathes are constructed of high quality Meehanite castings throughout. All bedways are induction hardened and precision ground on CNC way grinding machines. With a wider bed than most common lathes, these machines have a greater degree of rigidity. The spindles are forged steel and are supported by precision NSK bearings. The headstock features hardened and ground steel gears lubricated by an automatic force lubrication system. The Vanguard CA series engine lathes are engineered and manufactured for precision and maximum performance with standard features normally found as options on higher priced machines.
